Amy Ketron, MS, ATC, CEAS
Community Outreach Liaison
Amy Ketron is a certified athletic trainer and recovery specialist who analyzes deficits in performance – whether from an inability, deficit or injury. She uses various exercise techniques to correct these deficits with a sport specific mindset. Using the capabilities available at C4’s recovery center, Amy develops customized recovery programs that help athletes of all ages and ability levels recover faster, reduce the likelihood of injury or reinjury, and bring balance to the body.
Before joining C4, Amy worked in NCAA Division 1 athletics, high school sports, and as Director of Sports Medicine for the third largest physical therapy company in the US. She also served as a private athletic trainer to NFL and NBA athletes.
Amy earned a Bachelor Science in Athletic Training from Union University. She also holds a Master of Sports Administration from Belmont University. She is a NATA BOC certified athletic trainer and certified ergonomics assessment specialist (CEAS). Amy is also certified in functional capacity evaluation, kinesiology taping, and selective functional movement assessment.
“I became an athletic trainer because I have a BLAST helping people perform to their highest capability. There is no greater joy than watching a person compete after helping them unlock a movement struggle, come back from an injury, or overcome a setback,” Amy says. “What’s ironic is that, despite knowledge that performance recovery is necessary, too many people don’t find time for it. It’s simply not optional if you want to be your best physically. When you give attention to recovery, you WILL get stronger, faster, increase endurance, and be more fit. OPTIMIZE your body and the sky is the limit. Helping people accomplish this is not work, it’s fun!”
