Zach Dangel is a strength and conditioning coach and certified athletic trainer. He works to blend the worlds of performance, physical training, and rehabilitation to meet each person’s individual needs. Zach believes that higher levels of physical performance are available to anyone willing to create goals, examine where they are now, and put in the work. Understanding the obstacles and helping to create a pathway around or through them are his specialties. Zach aims to meet his clients where they are and be with them through their entire journey.

Zach studied at Miami University and Indiana University, earning bachelor’s degrees in athletic training and kinesiology, and a master’s degree in athletic training. He holds multiple certifications in the world of fitness and training including Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA, CrossFit Level 1 Coach, and Registered Yoga Teacher.

Prior to joining C4, Zach worked in clinical and training settings, where he engaged with many different age groups and skill levels. Through undergraduate and graduate school, he worked with Division I athletes, helping them to keep doing the sports they love. During and post graduate school he developed the sports medicine and strength and conditioning staff of the Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps. He also worked with performing artists of Broadway and off-Broadway shows in NYC and across the country, keeping them healthy to perform shows nearly every night of the week.

Most recently Zach worked at a private clinic called Prehab in NYC, helping athletes, non-athletes, and people of all ages to improve their health and performance. During his time there Zach also performed treatment and rehabilitation related to concussion and post-concussion syndrome. While in NYC he also spent time coaching group fitness classes, mostly CrossFit as well as some focusing on strength training for runners.
