Sydney Adams, PA-C

Physician Assistant to Dr. Benjamin Geddes and Dr. L. Shay Richardson

Sydney is a native of Johnson City, Tennessee. She relocated to Chattanooga in March of 2021 after completing physician assistant school in Roanoke, Virginia, where she was named a member of the Pi Alpha Honor Society and served in numerous student leadership roles. Sydney graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Middle Tennessee State University and a Masters of Science in biochemistry from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Prior to physician assistant school, Sydney was a Quality Control Chemist at a pharmaceutical manufacturer in Bristol, Tennessee. Her multifaceted education and experience have shaped her approach as she cares for her patients each day.

In her spare time, Sydney enjoys long walks, hikes, and traveling with her husband, daughter, and rescue dog.

Lacie Black, MSN, NP-C

Nurse Practitioner to Dr. Chad Smalley

A native of Chattanooga, Lacie attended University of Tennesse at Chattanooga graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2013. After joining Center for Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics in 2014, she subsequently continued her education at University of Tennessee at Chattanooga by completing her Masters of Science degree in Nursing in 2019. Lacie enjoys the outdoors, gardening, and boating. She and her husband have two daughters and live in Chattanooga.

Luke Mentzer, PA-C

Physician Assistant to Dr. Todd Grebner and Dr. W. Timothy Ballard

Luke was born and raised in Hartland, Connecticut. He attended Wheaton College for his undergraduate degree where he acquired a degree in Allied Health Science. Prior to physician assistant school, he worked as an emergency room technician and personal trainer in Hartford. He attended Bethel University for physician assistant school and graduated in May of 2020. Once he completed his clinical rotations in Knoxville, Luke decided to stay in East Tennessee and joined Center for Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics in 2021. He enjoys the outdoors, exercising and experiencing the beauty of the Chattanooga landscape. His favorite activities are rock climbing, hiking, fly fishing, mountain biking, camping and hunting.

Annabeth D. Pruett, PA-C, MBA

Physician Assistant to Dr. Jason Spangler

A native of Athens, GA, she was a collegiate softball player at Lee University where in just 5 years, she received her undergraduate degree in Health Sciences and her Master in Business Administration. She continued her education at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine- Georgia Campus where she graduated with her Master of Science in Physician Assistant studies in July 2020. She is a prior team member of CSMO when she was a medical assistant and is excited to continue with the company and Dr. Spangler as a PA-C. She currently resides in Cleveland, TN and enjoys being active, finding ways to get outside, and watching sports.

Kurt Harold Pulver PA-C, DHSc

Physician Assistant to Dr. John Nash

Dr. Pulver began his education by becoming a registered nurse and he graduated from Albany Medical College Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program. He earned a Masters Degree in Physician Assistant studies from the University of Nebraska and later earned his Doctorate in Health Sciences from A.T. Still University. He has 35 years of experience in orthopedics and has worked with the physicians at CSMO for over 16 years. He is married and blessed with 5 children and 7 grandchildren.

Brilee Rogers, PA-C

Physician Assistant to Dr. Jason Rogers

Brilee grew up in rural Alabama and attended The University of Alabama where she received her degree in athletic training. Following her undergraduate degree, she was accepted into The University of Alabama at Birmingham where she received her masters in physician assistant studies in December of 2019. She joined Center for Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics in 2021.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, kayaking, and baking. She has had the privilege to travel to Guatemala several time where she volunteers for medical mission trips.

Jennifer Rose, MSN, RN, FNP-C

Family Nurse Practitioner

Jennifer was born and raised in Arlington, Tennessee and she has lived in the Chattanooga area since 2008.  She graduated from Baptist College of Health Science in 2005 with her RN and Southern Adventist University in 2013 with her Masters in Nursing.  As a Reservist in the United States Air Force, she continues to serve as a Flight Nurse.  Jennifer is the mother to a beautiful daughter, Amelia.  In her spare time, she loves to travel and play tennis.

Pace Rothery, PA-C

Physician Assistant to Dr. Brett Sanders and Dr. Todd Grebner

Pace received a Bachelor of Arts from University of Tennessee and her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from South College in Knoxville, TN. Prior to joining CSMO she was an Advanced EMT in Chattanooga. Pace lives in Chattanooga with her husband and enjoys mountain biking and the outdoors.

Dana Simpson, FNP-BC

Nurse Practitioner

Dana is a native of Chattanooga. She graduated from the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga in 1998 with her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. She practiced as an RN for eleven years prior to obtaining her Master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2009.  Dana and her husband reside in East Brainerd with their two young children.

Lynne Smith, MSN, APRN, FNP-C

Family Nurse Practitioner

Lynne received her Bachelor of Science degree from East Tennessee State University and her Master’s of Science in Nursing from Southern Adventist in 2016.  Prior to joining Center for Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics, she worked as an RN in the emergency department at CHI Memorial Hospital.  Lynne is married and has two daughters.  In her free time, she enjoys cooking and traveling.

Julie Stafford, MSM, PA-C

Physician Assistant to Dr. W. Timothy Ballard

Julie was born and raised in Dalton, Georgia. In December of 2017, she graduated magna cum laude with her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee. In August of 2021, she graduated with her Master of Science in Medicine degree from Trevecca Nazarene University’s Physician Assistant Program in Nashville, Tennessee.

Prior to joining CSMO, Julie gained patient care experience working in geriatrics as well as serving in medical mission trips abroad. In her free time, she enjoys walks with her dog Hershey, spending time with family and friends, and traveling.
