Hamilton County In-Service Day
For the second year in a row, physicians and staff at CSMO hosted a Student Health In-Service for Hamilton County Department of Education Middle and High School Physical Education teachers on August 6th at East Hamilton High School. Topics included Concussions, Heat Issues, Emergency Care, Core & General Conditioning, Weather Safety, Lower Extremity Injury Prevention, Stretching and Taping Techniques. It was a very productive day filled with great information toward keeping students safe and active. Plans are already underway for next year! [photomosaic id=”1370″]
North Georgia In-Service Day
The physicians and staff at CSMO hosted a Student Health In-Service for North Georgia area Elementary, Middle and High School Physical Education teachers and Coaches on August 23rd at Heritage High School. Topics included Concussions, Heat Issues, Emergency Care, Core & General Conditioning, Weather Safety, Lower Extremity Injury Prevention, Stretching and Taping Techniques. Special thanks to David Glenn, weatherman from News Channel 9, who presented on Weather Safety. It was a pleasure hosting the In-Service for the coaches and teachers of North Georgia and we hope it is the beginning of a long lasting tradition.
