Dr. Brian Smith is a fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in hand, wrist, and elbow surgery and comprehensive upper-extremity care. He provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment for patients with injuries and conditions affecting the hand, wrist, fingers, and elbow.
Dr. Smith brings decades of experience and advanced fellowship training in hand surgery to his practice. He earned his undergraduate degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, where he received numerous academic honors, before attending Indiana University School of Medicine.
Dr. Smith completed his internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at SUNY Health Science Center in Syracuse, New York, where he received the Resident Teaching Award for his dedication to mentoring future physicians. He then completed advanced fellowship training in hand surgery at the Mayo Clinic.
After five years in private practice in Florida, Dr. Smith joined Center for Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics in 2000. Since joining CSMO, he has focused exclusively on the care of hand, wrist, and elbow conditions, helping patients restore function and return to the activities they enjoy.
