C4 Sports Therapy Launches Built to Last, a Functional Fitness Program for Lifelong Movement

C4 Sports Therapy is proud to introduce Built to Last, a new 8-week functional fitness program designed to help adults build strength, confidence, and movement capacity that supports long-term health and independence.

Developed for adults ages 40–60 and beyond, Built to Last focuses on practical, real-world movement—helping participants move better, feel stronger, and stay active for years to come. The program is loosely aligned with principles found in Outlive: The Science & Art of Longevity by Dr. Peter Attia, emphasizing not just lifespan, but healthspan.

“We launched Built to Last because we see a growing need in our community,” says Becky Farmer, CEO of Center for Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics. “Too many people begin to lose strength, confidence, and independence earlier than they should. This program is about changing that trajectory—helping people stay active, capable, and engaged in their lives now, while investing in their long-term health and mobility.”

What Is Built to Last?

As we age, fitness becomes less about aesthetics and more about function. Built to Last is a small-group training program led by expert trainers and designed to support everyday movement—from getting up off the floor to lifting, carrying, and keeping up with the activities you love.

Each 60-minute session offers a thoughtful balance of instruction, movement, and recovery, all tailored to individual goals and abilities.

Program Highlights

Participants in Built to Last can expect a comprehensive, personalized experience that includes:

  • Individual Assessment
A personalized health history and movement evaluation to tailor the program to your needs.
  • Dynamic Warm-Ups
Mobility-focused sequences to increase blood flow, range of motion, and movement readiness.
  • Skill Instruction
Step-by-step coaching on foundational movements like squats, pushes, pulls, and deadlifts.
  • Strength Training
Barbell, dumbbell, or bodyweight training using progressive overload to safely build total-body strength.
  • Conditioning
Cardiovascular workouts designed to improve endurance, power, and resilience.
  • Mobility & Recovery
Guided strategies to support flexibility, joint health, and long-term recovery.

In addition, participants will learn practical wellness strategies related to recovery, sleep, stress management, nutrition, and building sustainable habits.

What Participants Can Expect to Gain

Over the course of eight weeks, many participants experience measurable improvements in:

  • Mobility (hips, shoulders, spine, and ankles)
  • Total-body strength
  • Cardiovascular endurance
  • Confidence in movement and daily activities

Progress is tracked throughout the program using meaningful metrics such as resting heart rate, movement control, strength gains, and endurance—helping participants clearly see their improvement over time.

Built for Today—and the Future

Built to Last reflects C4 Sports Therapy’s commitment to proactive, preventative care that supports not just recovery, but lifelong movement and wellness.

“Our goal is to help people stay strong and capable at every stage of life,” Farmer says. “When individuals move better, they live better—and that has a ripple effect on families, workplaces, and our entire community.”
