Dr. Christopher D. Lotufo is a board-certified, fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon specializing in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, arthroscopic foot and ankle surgery, and total ankle replacement. He provides comprehensive care for patients with foot and ankle injuries, arthritis, deformities, and other conditions affecting the lower extremities.

Born in New York and raised in Florida, Dr. Lotufo developed an early interest in athletics and played travel soccer through his college years. He joined Center for Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics after practicing privately near Atlanta, Georgia, and previously practicing with Vancouver Clinic. He is heavily involved in national organizations dedicated to advancing foot and ankle surgery and has held numerous leadership positions within the profession.

Professional & Research Activities

Dr. Lotufo has served as a consultant to medical device companies developing products for the foot and ankle and has participated in multi-center research involving treatments for plantar fasciitis and amniotic stem cell injection therapy.

Professional Memberships

Dr. Lotufo has held numerous leadership positions with both organizations. He is a former member of the Board of Directors and past president of the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery. He currently chairs the Longitudinal Education and Assessment for Diplomates Continuous Certification Committee and serves as a case reviewer and member of the Exam Oversight Committee.

Dr. Lotufo also serves on the Board of Directors of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons and is a faculty instructor specializing in arthroscopy. He frequently presents lectures at national conferences and local educational courses.
