Dr. Jason Wamack is a board-certified, fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon specializing in comprehensive surgical and non-surgical care of the foot and ankle. He treats patients ranging from competitive athletes to active “weekend warriors,” providing care for injuries, deformities, arthritis, and other conditions affecting the foot and ankle.
A Chattanooga native, Dr. Wamack attended Boyd-Buchanan School before earning his undergraduate degree in Biology from Lipscomb University in Nashville. He then moved to Miami, Florida, where he attended Barry University School of Graduate Medical Sciences. During his medical training, he received numerous scholarships and Dean’s List recognition and participated in several medical missions to Guatemala.
Dr. Wamack completed three years of surgical training at Plantation General Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and the Gulf Coast Podiatric Surgical Residency Foundation in Houston, Texas. He served as chief resident in Houston before returning to Chattanooga to begin his private practice. After building his practice, Dr. Wamack joined Center for Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics in 2009.
Dr. Wamack has a particular interest in advanced foot and ankle surgery, total ankle replacement, and sports-related foot and ankle injuries. His clinical experience includes treating high ankle sprains, ankle instability, bunions, flat feet, high arches, fractures, arthritis, and other conditions affecting the lower extremity.
