Additionally, Dr. Robertson holds a Diploma in Football Medicine from FIFA, the international governing body of soccer, further underscoring his expertise in soccer-specific care. His hands-on involvement in elite soccer has equipped him with an in-depth understanding of the unique challenges soccer athletes face.
Chattanoogan + Soccer Fanatic
A native of Chattanooga and graduate of Boyd-Buchanan School, Dr. Robertson was a varsity soccer player at Lipscomb University in Nashville. After completing medical school and non-operative sports medicine fellowship training with the medical director of Major League Soccer (MLS), he joined CSMO and promptly began volunteering his time with local soccer organizations. Since their inception, Dr. Robertson has served 17 years as team physician with the Chattanooga Football Club, and 8 years with the Chattanooga Red Wolves Soccer Club. He’s overseen and cared for thousands of athletes going head-to-head on the pitch. His extensive background in sports medicine, walk-in orthopaedic care, and countless hours on the sidelines has made him a household name in the Chattanooga region.
